Hello all it's been awhile since I've posted. It's been a very busy few weeks. I have finally managed to get the whole of my flat carpeted at long last and it looks fab. It's really coming together now and I have a new sofa and chair.
I have been very busy sewing and making cards as well ready for christmas. I can't believe it's that time of year again already. Where has the time gone this year? Every year I keep saying I am going to be really organised but I haven't managed it yet.

New look living room
Here are some picture's of my new look living room. A lick of paint and rearranging the furniture has made such a difference. And having a carpet donated by my neighbour who had just re done her living room has made a huge difference as well. I only had lino on the floor and a rug before. It was also really cramped in there to start with.
It is now really open as you can see and even my cat will come in here now. It was very overcrowded in the beginning with a dining room table a nd chairs as well as the 3 pce suite. We revamped my dining room table and turned it into a coffee table and got rid of one of the arm chairs.
It was also a great excuse too, to go through everything and bin the rubbish instead of hording it all.

It's a lovely day out there today. I have plenty of cards to do today. I started my christmas cards a few weeks ago and have really got going with them. I have managed about 40 so far so I'm really pleased with that.
I thought I had lost my crafting mojo awhile back so to have managed so many cards was great news.
September 11th
Just a short post to commemorate the victims of the 9/11 tragedy. Also a big thank you to all the firemen, policemen and volunteers who tirelessly gave there time to clean up after the tragedy and find many of the victims.

Whatever happened.......
Whatever happened to the summer? All it seems to have done this month is rain. Fingers crossed that we get an Indian summer. I've been busy, busy with my crafting and even managed to get some decorating done this month.
My living room finally got it's much needed revamp. I have done it in a pale lavender color and stencilling a border with a celtic knot symbol. Very apt considering my heritage. I can also put my pictures up on the walls of my beloved wolves.
I am such a fan of wolves, there is something mystical and beautiful about these animals.
I have so far managed to make 22 handmade christmas cards but I still have a way to go though. I have also managed quite a bit of scrapbooking as well. It's amazing what a "facelift" of my flat has done for my creativity.

Thursday 17th
It's rather dull here at the moment. I finally completed my TV samples for one of my friends and psoted those off. I have been really pleased with how they came out. Until they are aired I cannot post them as they will be a premiere. So I am very excited by this. I'm now doing some birthday cards up for forum friends and also a very good friend of mine who's birthday is on sunday. As soon as I have done that I will post it here on my blog.
I've just started playing with the embroidery stickers from starform and have been having real fun with them. Above is a card I did for my mum using a butterfly sticker. I have also invested in a couple of prick and stitch stencils as well. I got these from www.craftyideasbykaz.co.uk. Karen has a great selection of crafting goodies on her site.

Friday 11th July
I did these two cards up using the MY Matmate which my friend Maggie Yeaman designed. She asked me to do up some samples for demo purposes. I have been having so much fun finding different ways to use it.
These papers were purchased through the D.A.I.S.I.E Club. The Designer is Lucy Hampton. They were incredible designs and papers to work with.

Hi there,
Well it's been a very busy few days. I'm doing some card samples for a friend which has been keeping me very busy. I've also done up several ATC's which I will post at a later date.
I've treated myself to a few crafting goodies including the Crop-a-dile. I'm still trying to get used to using that but it is so much quieter than my hammer so I can craft into the night without disturbing anyone with the banging.
Here are a couple of pages that I have done just recently. The cute dog is my Northern Inuit called Spirit. She is 4 years old.

Saturday 21st June
This is a card I have done for a card swap I take part in each month. I found the image on http://www.pheemcfaddell.com/. There are some very beautiful images on there.
The theme was wings and was stuck for ideas so I looked around the internet for inspiration and was very pleased when I found this site. I printed the main image onto watercolor card which suited the image perfectly. Using the image I then created my own background paper. I matted the main image on a piece of gold mirri card then mounted ot onto the left flap of the card with foam pads. I then used gold peel offs to go around the edge of the gatefolds.

Sunday 15th
It's Father's day already. This is a picture of a card a did for my neighbour to give to her dad today. He's into horse racing so scouted around for the perfect image for her. Hoping for a quiet day today and try and catch up with everything. I've got so many crafting projects that I have started that are only half completed so I really need to get on with things and finish them.

13th May 2008
Well what a few days since my last post. Hopefully things will start to pick up. What beautiful weather we have been having after all that rain last month. Went out and did some gardening in my little garden just outside my flat. It got a little too hot so decided to come back in before melting. Still have some more work to do to the garden to get it back up to scratch but it is starting to look very pretty again.
Today I'm hoping to get some crafting done, I have loads of birthdays and events coming up this month and next that need cards of one sort or another. Still have plenty of scrapping to be getting on with too.
